Course Overview

• Underpinning Knowledge matched to IRSE Licence requirements
• For the designer or tester requiring an understanding of signalling principles and control tables
• Completely updated to reflect current requirements
• Also provides preparation for module 3 of the IRSE examination

Subject to agreement the course may be run at a client’s specified location. Follow-up workplace assessment is available.

Principal Course Elements are:

• Signal Control Table
• Points Control Table
• Controls for all classes of routes
• Simple swinging overlaps
• Foul track circuits
• Simple junction signalling
• Simple approach locking

The course involves a significant amount of realistic practice in signalling control table input. Prior attendance on the IST - Layouts course would provide valuable preparation.
