In 2026, Signet Solutions celebrates its 30th anniversary, a milestone that very few independent training providers in the rail industry can claim. Founded by John Tilling in 1996 and led today by Andy Knight, we have always held a clear vision: to deliver signalling training that is practical, rigorous, and grounded in real-world experience. From a small Derby-based operation, we have grown into a globally trusted academy.
Over three decades, we have trained thousands of signalling engineers, adapted to sweeping changes in technology and regulation, and never lost sight of the principle that started it all: if the training is not practical, it is not good enough.
